Abstract
A three-part, hands-on educational series named "Crash Course" was developed in response to staff members verbalizing fear of code management, equipment use, and their role in assisting in a code. These three courses were 1 hr in length, provided hands-on practice, and offered contact hour credit. Each attendee was expected to participate through demonstration and open discussion. The purpose of this article is to explain how staff development educators can create this learning experience for nursing staff and engage them in hands-on code management practices.
