Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) programs with a nursing education concentration often utilize the National League for Nursing (NLN) academic nurse educator and academic clinical nurse educator core competencies to guide curricula and associated program outcomes.1 The competencies reflect the scope of the academic nurse educator practice. Portfolium (https://portfolium.com) is one option to highlight MSN student progression and development as an academic nurse educator.2 Portfolium is a free electronic portfolio embedded within the Canvas learning management system wherein students showcase their academic and professional achievements. Students can add certificates, transcripts, teaching demonstrations, and writing samples, among others. A heading for each NLN core competency is required, with artifacts uploaded after each MSN course to demonstrate professional development. Formative and summative feedback is provided in Canvas by faculty to support portfolio development. During the final MSN course, students finalize their Portfolium and share it across their social media networks, including LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook, and when applying for faculty positions.
