Abstract

It is challenging to create comprehensive yet flexible continuing education programs for the affiliated professional (AP) about heart failure and sudden cardiac death. This challenge exists due to the varying levels of experience among APs. Yet a group of APs met this challenge by designing such a program in a short time frame. The program included clinical science, drug and device therapies, case studies, content outlines, videos, and handouts. Content could be adapted to the knowledge level of any audience. This unique approach to developing an educational program, and its successful implementation, demonstrates its applicability to other topics in APs' continuing education.
