Abstract

To think critically one must have total recall for facts and complex information. Keys to recall include the ability to pay attention, make associations, visualize, and encode that which is to be remembered. Mnemonics provide an organizational framework for the encoding and recalling of information. The authors discuss classroom applications that benefit both teacher and learner.
