Abstract
Objective: The aim of this study was to test predictors of nursing empowerment and job satisfaction in nurses. Background: Nursing professional development leaders and Magnet(R) coordinators need foundational data on which to build interventions that will support and empower nurses on the journey toward American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet(R) designation. Method: Secondary data analysis methods were used. Results: Overall, nurses perceived that they had moderate empowerment and were satisfied with their jobs. Conclusions: Study results support predicted relationships and can be used to guide interventions for, and development of, nurses.
