We all know how quickly things change in nursing and healthcare. New evidence emerges, guidelines and recommendations are updated, and changes are incorporated into our practice. The growth and changes of Lippincott NursingCenter (LNC) have followed a similar course during my time as senior clinical editor. As technology and use of the internet for clinical tools and professional development have increased and improved, LNC has also evolved to support the needs of nurses.
It has been a privilege to be part of this journey as the clinical voice for LNC and the voice of our users – nurses. Through the years, we’ve been through several versions of the site, always striving to deliver information that nurses need in a timely manner and in the most valuable format. The dedication to ensuring evidence-based content has been the highest priority of the clinical and editorial team. We’ve collaborated with the Lippincott nursing journals, nursing practice and nursing education teams, and nurses and leaders across the Wolters Kluwer business to ensure consistency and value. I am grateful for the hard work of so many.
That being said, the true heroes in this work have been you – the nurses. You have made this work a true honor. To be able to support you on the frontlines, in your career, and in your day-to-day life has meant so much. I am grateful for all the connections I have made through your emails, blog comments, and social media. Keep doing the great work of nursing, elevate our profession with every opportunity that presents, and remember that you make a difference!
We’d like to thank Lisa for her years of leadership as the Senior Clinical Editor of Wolters Kluwer Health Learning, Research, and Practice. Lisa’s passion for nursing and forward-thinking vision have been instrumental in building and expanding Lippincott NursingCenter as the premier online destination for peer-reviewed nursing journals and continuing professional development resources. She has cultivated nursing and editorial talent that will ensure the continued success of Lippincott NursingCenter. We know she will continue to impact the nursing profession for years to come. We are grateful that we have been part of Lisa’s nursing journey and we wish her all the best in her new role!
