Abstract
This pilot project aimed to (1) identify the current status (eg, unique issues, needs, resources, and challenges) of hospice patients' concerns regarding sexual health and (2) document the perceptions of hospice nurses regarding their understanding of the patients' concerns regarding sexual health. The synthesis of these data indicates that a more comprehensive assessment and understanding of sexual health in the life of the hospice patients are needed. The findings document that hospice patients persisted in having unmet needs even in late-stage disease.
