Still Time to Register for Symposium
Later this month, clinicians will come together to attend cutting-edge presentations, share information, and network with colleagues from around the world at the Clinical Symposium on Advances in Skin & Wound Care, October 22-25, 2009, at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio and the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. The 24th annual event will play host to a wide range of distinguished speakers and hot topics in the skin and wound care profession.
Several preconference workshops will be held throughout the day on October 22, followed by official conference kickoff activities that evening. Mike Schlappi will give the opening address, "If You Can't Stand Up, Stand Out!" Confined to a wheelchair since a childhood shooting accident, Mr Schlappi challenges individuals to succeed despite difficult circumstances by empowering themselves and accepting personal responsibility. His certain-to-be-dynamic presentation will be followed by the grand opening of the exhibit hall. For the remainder of the conference, October 23-25, participants have the opportunity to attend a diverse offering of general conference sessions and exciting breakout sessions. In addition, the conference will meet the continuing education needs of multidisciplinary skin and wound care practitioners and researchers, from novice to expert, by providing a forum for educational sessions and interactive workshops that offers comprehensive wound management strategies.
While in San Antonio, attendees will find themselves surrounded by the city's rich heritage and cultural attractions. The most well-known landmarks, of course, are the historic Alamo and the River Walk, a 3-mile pathway of restaurants, shops, gardens, and entertainment. Located on the River Walk, the conference hotel is conveniently located to a veritable treasure trove of rich art, American history and Southwest culture, golf courses, theme parks, and other attractions.
Don't miss the opportunity to take part in this long-standing Fall classic! There is still time to register. Session and registration information on this exciting symposium is available at http://www.symposiumonwoundcare.com.
See you in San Antonio!
