Socrates is quoted in the Dialogues of Plato as saying that "the only thing that is certain is change." This is certainly true for the Journal of the Dermatology Nurses' Association (JDNA).
Change 1: Last year, the Dermatology Nurses' Association (DNA) Board, at the recommendation of the Editor Search Committee, decided to change publishers of the JDNA, a decision which was taken to allow the DNA to own its own journal.
Change 2: Cynthia King, PhD, was named the first editor of the new journal and quickly put together the first two issues and began work on the third.
Change 3: Dr. King resigns from her position as editor of the JDNA. The DNA Board of Directors and members of the Editorial Board wish to thank Dr. King for her work in helping the DNA launch its new journal.
Change 4: The JDNA Editorial Board names a committee of three associate editors to continue the work of Dr. King in completing the third and fourth issues, who commit to continue their oversight until a new editor is named.
The three associate editors will rely on their own experiences in the dermatology field and their years of leadership in the DNA, the expertise of their fellow members of the JDNA Editorial Board, the knowledge and support of the publisher, and the commitment of Association Headquarters to continue to bring you a first-class journal. Together, we have started anew.
