A bra? Our profession has worked too hard to be represented by this type of cover, even if done with humor. Inside the journal it was explained that the bra was created to raise breast cancer awareness, but that information was not included on the cover. And I don't know that I would feel any differently about this representation if I had breast cancer.
I teach nursing. How do I explain professionalism to my students when this is the cover of our profession's journal? We struggle with students wearing lacy camisoles under their scrubs and revealing their underwear when bending over. We're trying to change this, and this cover doesn't help.
