Should striking nurses be entitled to unemployment benefits? The New Jersey Supreme Court said yes in February, according to the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations, because the strike (which lasted from 2004 to 2006) did not cause the nurses' workplace, Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro, a 259-bed nonprofit hospital, to "suffer a 'stoppage of work.'"
