In my 30 years of reading nursing journals, I've never been as affected by an article as I was by "Dying with a Stage IV Pressure Ulcer," by Jeanie S. Kayser-Jones, Renee L. Beard, and Tara J. Sharpp (January). This article brought nursing research alive.

I have incorporated this article into a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) class on culture and ethics that I teach. I strongly encourage all educators to make this article mandatory reading for their nursing students.
