America has been stuck in a "sick care" pattern for far too long. Prevention needs to be the focus now. Elevating the position of the CNO in the USPHS, and using a title people recognize ("national nurse"), will let the public know that our government is serious about disease prevention. Our nation's health depends on a positive change. This idea could be it.
