Ms. Lasater paints such a clear picture of what nursing is like today. I appreciate her service greatly and hope my family and I will be cared for by a nurse like her, if need be.

I understand how difficult every shift can be. I retired last year after 32 years of hospital nursing and think of myself as a recovering nurse. Although I'm quite poor, I'm not tempted to return to nursing despite the many available jobs and high hourly wages. I'd rather be at peace.
