PDI, Inc., offers the Sani-Bracket 3-in-1 Wall and Mobile Equipment Attachment System, designed to fit all Sani-System canisters. The 3-in-1 canister holder quickly and easily adjusts to fit all three canister sizes and features labeled brackets that read "Not for use on skin" for Sani-Cloth and "Use for hand sanitizing" for Sani-Hands. Securing canisters deters theft, reduces counter clutter, and offers convenience to healthcare professionals. And because the 3-in-1 canister holder uses the same footprint as PDI's locking bracket, there's no need for drilling new holes in the wall.

Kick-start my heart
Boston Scientific has received FDA approval of its Cognis cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (CRT-D) and Teligen implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD). These devices represent new platforms to treat heart failure and sudden cardiac death and feature significant engineering advances that eliminate trade-offs between device size and battery longevity. Cognis CRT-D and Teligen ICD are among the smallest and thinnest high-energy devices. And both devices offer extended battery longevity over previous company devices, self-correcting software, and improved programming technology.

Autoimmune disease detection
Corgenix Medical Corp. has received FDA approval for the IgG Anti-AtherOx Test Kit. Indicated for the detection of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies in people with autoimmune diseases, such as lupus and antiphospholipid syndrome, the test identifies antibodies to complexes formed by oxidized low-density lipoprotein with beta2-glycoprotein I. Studies have suggested there's an association between antibodies to the AtherOx complex and vascular thrombosis, particularly arterial thrombosis, in patients with autoimmune diseases. Several studies have also shown that the measurement of the AtherOx antibody was significantly better than conventional anticardiolipin testing in identifying patients with vascular complications.
