American Professional Wound Care Association

The American Professional Wound Care Association (APWCA) is terminating the open pathway for physicians to become fellows of the APWCA as of December 31, 2008. Therefore, effective January 1, 2009, a physician-specific certification in wound care will be required for physicians to become fellows of the APWCA. Physicians will still be able to join as associate members without wound care physician certification and enjoy member benefits. Physicians are able to join until the effective January 1, 2009, date under the current policy before termination of open enrollment.
