New Column Debuts
From time to time, Advances in Skin & Wound Care has published articles under the heading of "Practice Points. "I am pleased to announce that, beginning with this issue, "Practice Points" will be featured monthly on the last editorial page of the journal.
Cathy Thomas Hess, BSN, RN, CWOCN, will author the column, highlighting summarized clinical information from the sixth edition (2008) of her book, Clinical Guide: Skin & Wound Care, published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. Her topics will frequently complement the continuing medical education activity offered in the issue. Clinicians will be able to turn to the back of the journal for quick pointers on a variety of wound care issues.
Ms Hess is President and Director of Clinical Operations, Wound Care Strategies, Inc (WCS), Harrisburg, PA, which focuses on clinical, operational, regulatory, and compliance/auditing aspects of skin and wound care in all health care settings. She is also a member o0066 the editorial advisory board for Advances in Skin & Wound Care.
