Thank you for the wonderful issue focusing on poverty (November 2007). I loved the photos and particularly enjoyed Madeleine Mysko's Viewpoint and Susan Kramer O'Neill's superb poem "Volunteering at the Orphanage, Hue, Viet Nam, 1969." The overall message of Dan Way's photo essay, "We're not poor. We just don't have any money," is humbling. It reminds me of my own experience teaching a patient with AIDS to use bleach and water for sterilization and later learning that he had no running water in his rural home.

I don't usually get so much pleasure from reading clinical journals, but AJN makes this way too much fun.
