I oppose any nurse or nursing organization trying to impose an antiwar ideology on our profession. My brother, Daniel E. Holland, was killed in Baghdad on May 18, 2006. Daniel was a veterinarian with a master's degree in public health; as a military officer who wanted to serve his country, protect freedom, and minimize suffering around the world, Daniel gave generously to many grateful Iraqis. Thanks to rational and compassionate nurses such as Mullen, nursing remains proud to deliver health care to all who need it.
