Did YOU KNOW?
that Nurses Christian Fellowship offers professional membership for nurses? NCF membership is a way for nurses, nurse educators and nursing students to identify with others in the mission of promoting a Christian worldview in nursing. It provides an avenue for partnership in the challenges before us as a profession.
How? Linking together locally, nationally, and internationally empowers us for strong, creative Christian influence at this critical point in nursing history. As a professional membership organization, NCF can speak with a stronger voice and lead more boldly as a Christian influence in nursing.
Membership also makes a statement of faith on your resume.
What are the personal benefits to you in NCF membership? Members receive: JCN, free continuing education through JCN, NCF newsletters and email news service, discounts on selected NCF events, a membership card, an NCF pin (available upon request), and networking opportunities with Christian nurses around the world.
To join NCF or learn more about membership, check out http://www.ncf-jcn.org and click on What is NCF?, email [email protected] or call us at 608/443-3722.
DO YOU WANT TO KNOW?
Do you have a pressing spiritual care or ethical question related to your nursing practice? Send your question to JCN and look for a response in a future "FAQs in Spiritual Care" column or a new column under construction, "Christian Ethics." Write us at [email protected] or PO Box 7895, Madison, WI, 53707.
EARN FREE CNE THROUGH the JCN!!
Each issue of the JCN offers two self-directed learning modules for continuing nursing education (CNE) credit. The number of contact hours offered in each issue ranges from two (2) to three (3) contact hours, and each module meets American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC, a subsidiary of ANA) standards.
CNE credit offered through the JCN is free to nurses who become NCF members (and keep their membership current by paying the annual fee). This means NCF members may earn eight or more contact hours a year through JCN (a value that equals the cost of membership)!! For your convenience, modules can be completed online or by mail, using the attached enrollment card.
