Abstract
In an effort to help meet projected demands for new nurses, an exciting recruitment project called the Nightingale Experience was conceived at Fort Hays State University (FHSU) in Hays, Kansas, in 2001. The goal is to promote a career in nursing and the nursing program at FHSU. The program targets high school minority students in western Kansas.
