Acticoat Site. This silver-coated antimicrobial barrier dressing is specifically designed to help manage infection risks around IV lines, central venous catheters, and external fixation sites. It has a circular shape, central opening, and slit to allow for easy placement in round percutaneous insertion sites. The dressing provides high absorption and can be left in place for up to 7 days for continuous antimicrobial activity throughout the entire wear time of the dressing.
The product is formulated with Silcryst nanocrystalline (Ag+, Ag) silver technology and provides bactericidal activity against multiple strains of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and other difficult-to-treat pathogens.
