This session will go over general differences that need to be considered when caring for a pediatric patient. The pediatric population is sometimes frightening for those of us who don't routinely care for them. The many considerations regarding size of equipment, developmental needs of the patient, and safety issues to consider are some of the areas that this class will touch upon.

We are pleased to present the abstracts from SGNA's 34th Annual Course, Charting a Course for Professional Growth. The diversity of these topics certainly reflects the richness and breadth of our specialty. In keeping with the tradition of the Annual Course, we hope the following abstracts will encourage discussions for improving nursing practice and patient care outcomes.
