This presentation is comprised of two panelists (an attending GI physician and an experienced GI nurse) and a moderator who will answer questions on a variety of topics of interest to everyone who works in endoscopy-from the general to the specific, i.e., scheduling, patient preparation, patient education, sedation issues, equipment, intraprocedure assistance, and more. This will be an interesting, interactive, enlightening and entertaining presentation, aimed at providing attendees with new insights into the professional dynamics at work in our GI suites.

We are pleased to present the abstracts from SGNA's 34th Annual Course, Charting a Course for Professional Growth. The diversity of these topics certainly reflects the richness and breadth of our specialty. In keeping with the tradition of the Annual Course, we hope the following abstracts will encourage discussions for improving nursing practice and patient care outcomes.
