The internet is filled with an enormous amount of information that is increasing daily. This course will help you identify legitimate sites to gather information and improve many facets of your career. Internet sites offer a variety of material including patient and nursing education, GI procedures with a library of endoscopic movies, chat rooms, and discussion boards. There are sites dedicated to advancing education and awareness of current issues in our field. For many GI topics, complete educational chapters, movie clips, illustrations, and even slideshows can be downloaded free of charge. Didactic courses and seminars are available to earn continuing education unit (CEU) credits on the internet. This course will provide an overview of what is currently available online for as a nursing resource.
