Abstract
On the night shift, in a busy cardiac care unit (CCU) of a major metropolitan medical center, Thad, a primary care nurse, finishes his initial rounds, medication administration, and treatments.
He notices that one patient, Mrs. M., is awake and restless, although the patient denied having pain or anxiety when he asked.
Thad senses that Mrs. M. needs additional assessment and goes into her room.
