ADVANCE NOT ADVANCED
In the winter 2006 issue, in "Another Look at Aging," the JCN editorial staff incorrectly used the term advanced directives in the article by Annette Browning. The correct term is advance directives. We are sorry for the error.

Thank you for the work and effort you put into JCN. I just received my first issue and could not be more pleased with the quality of the magazine and its content. I look forward to receiving further issues and will spread the word about JCN to others.

HURRICANE KATRINA MINISTRY
Amanda, NCF student president at Louisiana State University, writes about compassion packages NCF students made for nursing faculty members:
We gave the compassion packages to the teachers. I met with our NCF faculty advisor before the meeting, and she informed me there were close to 100 faculty members. We only had 50 packages, so on the way to the meeting I prayed God would do something to multiply our gift.
Two other student officers went with me, and we were first on the agenda. We started by telling the teachers how much we appreciated their service. I didn't say much because they started clapping and clapping. After presenting the packages we got another ovation. The faculty were definitely taken back and surprised. Forty-five teachers were present. We had enough gifts with some to spare. Later, an administrator wrote to me, "Thanks to NCF for the presentation to faculty a the faculty meeting last Monday0it was very special!!"
Continue to pray for the LSU NCF group as they represent Jesus among faculty and students. Due to extensive damage to the school in New Orleans, they can't go back to the campus. The NCF group is praying about ways to communicate the love, peace and hope that Jesus brings.
looking ahead
