HPNA Call for Nominations

HPNA Annual Membership Meeting

Please join HPNA on Friday, February 16, 2007 from 11:30 to 12:30 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, UT for the Annual Membership Meeting. The meeting is being held in conjunction with the 2007 AAHPM/HPNA Annual Assembly.

 

New Board Members for 2007

NBCHPNR (R) is pleased to welcome its two newest Board members for 2007: Barbara Schmal, CHPN, (R) from Indiana and Cheryl Ann Fite, CHPLN, (R) from Arkansas. Barbara has worked in the area of hospice and/or palliative care for 13 years. Cheryl has 23 years of nursing experience, with 8 years of hospice experience. Barbara and Cheryl also maintain commitments to several professional affiliations.

2007 NCHPN(R) CERTIFICATION RECOGNITION EVENT

NBCHPN(R) will host its 6th Annual Certification Recognition Event during the AAHPM/HPNA Annual Assembly. The luncheon will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2007 from 12:45 to 2:00 PM at the Salt Palace Convention Center, Salt Lake City, UT. Jeanne Martinez, RN, MPH, CHPN(R), will be the featured speaker. Her topic is "The Value of Certification- A National Study." Seating is limited to the first 250 registrants. Registration details are available through our Web site at http://www.nbchpn.org or by calling the national office at (412)787-1057. Call or register online now to ensure your registration. The registration deadline is January 31, 2006.

 

In 2008, NBCHPN(R) will be implementing Computer-based Testing (CBT) for all levels of nursing. Paper and pencil exams will no longer be an option. The application process for CBT will be similar to the current application process. There will be four testing windows throughout the year. There will be more than 150 CBT test site centers available throughout the United States. Please look for upcoming information on our Web site (http://www.nbchpn.org) and in future publications.
