Abstract
The Supreme Court decision in June 2023 against affirmative action in college admissions has the potential to have significant negative implications for diversifying the nursing workforce, which is foundational to meeting the social, cultural, and linguistic needs of an increasingly diverse population, addressing social determinants of health, and achieving health equity in the United States.
