A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation's advocacy has a three-tiered approach: (1) increase lung cancer research to improve lung cancer treatments and outcomes; (2) improve public education and awareness to reduce late-stage diagnoses, especially in low-income communities; and (3) increase support for patients and caregivers. It emphasizes patient and family support through its Peer-to-Peer HOPE Companion and Volunteer Driver program and virtual support group meetings.
