American Brain Foundation (ABF)

Bringing donors and researchers together, ABF has raised over $33 million for brain research to find cures and ways to improve life with brain disease. Founded by the American Academy of Neurology, the "Cure One, Cure Many" initiative supports breakthrough research in brain disease and makes it easy to donate and support the cause. It also engages early-career researchers through its Next Generation Research Grants fund.

 

Alzheimer's Association

The Alzheimer's Association focuses on accelerating research, risk reduction, and early detection of Alzheimer disease and all other kinds of dementia. They value inclusivity and are committed to providing accessible information and care. Programs include the online forum ALZConnected; Ride to End ALZ, a cycling event that raises funds for Alzheimer disease research; in-person and virtual support groups for caregivers and individuals living with Alzheimer disease or other dementia.

 

Alzheimer's Diversity Outreach (ADO)

Recognizing that Alzheimer disease disproportionately affects Black individuals, ADO provides important resources and education for patients, families, friends, and caregivers to cope with and combat the disease. ADO annually hosts "Out of Africa," the largest Black-focused Alzheimer awareness event nationwide.

 

BrightFocus Foundation

BrightFocus funds innovative brain and eye research to find cures for Alzheimer disease, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. Funding nearly $60 million in the last 3 years alone, BrightFocus programs, such as Alzheimer's Disease Research, look into bold ideas and take a 360-degree approach to research.
