The American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) has approved new guidelines for credentialing specialists in hospice and palliative medicine. Intended to assist credentialing organizations as hospice and palliative medicine gains recognition as a medical subspecialty, the guidelines cover guiding principles, specialist-level knowledge and skills, and core privileges for specialists in hospice and palliative medicine.
