Abstract

Abstract: Sarcoidosis is a granulomatous disorder that is characterized by the development of noncaseating granulomas affecting multiple organ systems, most commonly the lungs and lymph nodes of the body. Aside from these organ systems, sarcoidosis can also affect the skin, eyes, central nervous system, liver, heart, kidneys, and musculoskeletal system. We present a patient with subcutaneous sarcoidosis, also known as Darier-Roussy disease, without extracutaneous findings. Patients may benefit from topical or intralesional steroids for localized involvement to decrease the size of the nodules while avoiding the adverse effects of systemic medications.
