Nursing students should learn how to assess for expected findings and recognize problems in patients with varied skin color, to ensure safety and health equity. Nurse educators are often challenged to find appropriate resources about skin of color to use in teaching. We collaborated with a medical librarian and collected a variety of resources including websites with images of skin of color, scholarly books, and articles about dermatological conditions in skin of color, to add to an Excel spreadsheet of resources created by the nursing school's diversity office. Items on the spreadsheet are linked to a shared file repository of the resources. A work-study student collaborated with the diversity office for about 40 hours to enhance the spreadsheet to be searchable and to create categories and tags to assist users with identifying their desired resources. Faculty and staff are able to maintain the repository and spreadsheet with minimal time and effort. Members of the nursing school's community can view and download the spreadsheet directly from the website, which now provides easy access to a variety of resources related to diversity and skin of color.
