For more than 20 years, the journal Holistic Nursing Practice (HNP) has explored every facet of holistic approaches to nursing practice emphasizing the complementary interaction of traditional and holistic models of care. The Editorial Board of Holistic Nursing Practice invites articles on any aspect of holistic nursing care, including the following topics:
* Holistic nursing models and theory-based interventions
* Outcomes of holistically oriented care
* Complementary and alternative therapies (CAT), including the energy therapies, TT, Reiki, Qigong, aromatherapy, reflexology
* Nutrition, including the use of food and herbal supplements
* Spirituality in health and healing
* Culturally based models of care and intervention; e.g., folk healing, Ayurvedic, Eastern and ancient approaches, etc.
* Innovations in holistic nursing practice
* Controversies inherent in holistic nursing practice and healthcare
* Empirical and historical research related to holistic nursing practice, healthcare, and policy
* Stress management approaches, e.g., mindfulness meditation, yoga, relaxation response, body work, and massage
* Ethical-legal issues related to holistic nursing practices
* Stories of healing and self-healing
* Creative arts therapies; the use of art, dance/movement, and music as interventions
* Using technology to promote holistic care
