Nutrition Rounds - Research to Practice is a series of virtual events targeted to practicing clinicians that reviews cutting-edge advances in nutrition and obesity science and their applications in practice brought to you by the American Society for Nutrition's year-round learning experience, NUTRITION 2022.

 

Our November program focuses on Hot Topics in Pediatric Nutrition and is targeted to physicians, dietitians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, academic faculty, medical students, residents, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and nutrition researchers.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the American Society for Nutrition.

The American Society for Nutrition is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical educationfor physicians. The American Society for Nutrition designates this activity for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits(TM). Physicians should claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Credit will be awarded on a per session basis, upon successful completion of the session evaluation.

 

Dietitians/Dietetic Technicians

 

The American Society for Nutrition (Provider #NS010) is accredited and approved by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a provider of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programs for Registered Dietitians. The American Society for Nutrition designates this activity for a maximum of 1.5 CPE credits. (CPE Level 2)

 

Non-physician and Non-dietetic Healthcare Professionals

 

All non-physician and non-dietetic healthcare professionals of this activity will be able to complete an evaluation and download a Certificate of Participation. This certificate designates participation in this education activity. Non-physician and non-dietetic professionals are encouraged to use this documentation for licensing or certification needs.

Recent Advances in the Treatment of Obesity

 

Join obesity experts Ania Jastreboff, MD, PhD (Yale University School of Medicine) and John Buse, MD, PhD (University of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill) for a 90-minute session covering the latest on options for the pharmacological treatment of obesity and the role of diet counseling and lifestyle interventions with new obesity therapies.
