Active learning strategies enable students to master the knowledge necessary to be successful in their nursing program, and students prefer a variety of activities using technology.1 An augmented reality tee shirt is an effective method to engage students and enhance their skills in a health assessment nursing course. The students can visualize the cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, and urinary systems to assist with landmark identification while using their electronic devices. The tee shirt can be worn by the students, put on a manikin, or placed on a desk. Students download the free app and scan the shirt and can choose one of the various systems to view in 3D. An option is available to narrate the various systems. The tee shirt assists with meeting student learning outcomes in the health assessment course. Feedback from the students includes enhancing visualization, providing hands-on learning, allowing them to view the body in 3D, bringing the body to life, and augmenting health assessment skills. It can be used with practicing skills on each other and enables the students to collaborate and engage in active learning. This resource can also be used in the anatomy and physiology course.
