The photograph by Mary Rafferty Gerstein ("Children's Memorial Hospital, Chicago, February 17, 2005,"Art of Nursing, December) is exquisite, breathtaking, and sublime. I just melted-for the baby, and for the quiet thrill this moment must have given the nurse. It's a reminder of what keeps nurses going, despite the long hours and responsibilities heaped upon us.
