In Emerging Infections, "Legionella Pneumonia" (November 2005) by Betsy Todd, it was stated "that about 10% to 15% of patients with Legionella pneumonia die, with the higher mortality occurring in untreated nosocomial cases." The sentence should have read "with higher mortality occurring in untreated nosocomial cases," indicating that the mortality rate among patients with missed or belated diagnosis may be higher because the correct treatment is often begun too late to benefit them.

 

In Nursing Resources, "Voices of Experience" (December 2005) by Veneta Masson, the sidebar titled "Veneta's Favorites" should have included Jeanne Bryner's book, Tenderly Lift Me: Nurses Honored, Celebrated, and Remembered (Kent, Ohio: Kent State University Press, 2004).
