I thank Diana Mason for "Failure to Rescue" (Editorial, October 2005). She elucidates important ethical issues with passion and clarity, which we need more of in nursing. Home health nurses in New Orleans and along the Gulf Coast were among those going the extra mile for their patients. In 2005 nurses again topped Gallup's honesty and ethics poll as the most trusted professionals-and with good reason.
