I could relate to "Nurses with Disabilities" (AJN Reports, June). I developed reflex sympathetic dystrophy in my right arm after a work-related incident. My immediate managers try hard to accommodate me, but the upper-level managers will not make any exceptions to their rules. As long as I keep my mouth shut, I can work. Otherwise, I risk losing my job. I am an experienced and seasoned nurse but this situation increases my stress, which exacerbates my symptoms.
