After the many challenges we have faced in the last 18 months, it is time to focus on rejuvenating ourselves for the years ahead. At NANN's VIRTUAL 37th Annual Conference, scheduled for September 13-15, 2021, we will nurture our minds with the very latest clinical education, nurture our souls by connecting with neonatal nursing peers from all over the world, and, together, create a plan for our postpandemic normal. We will do all this once more online, safely connected and together, while we excitedly await our next in-person event.
Join us at conference during Neonatal Nurses Week this year to celebrate the profession and the second Year of the Nurse. You will leave refreshed and inspired to make innovative changes that nurture you and transform your career and the care you provide.

In Case of Emergency: A Filmmaker Witnesses Our World
Carolyn Jones
Carolyn Jones-author and filmmaker behind The American Nurse Project and Defining Hope -spent more than 10 years documenting the work of nurses across the country, a journey that led her to conclude that "without them, we don't stand a chance." That was before the global coronavirus pandemic that has thrust our nation's nurses even further onto the frontlines of healthcare, addressing our physical and emotional needs before sending us back out into the world. When COVID-19 hit, she had an opportunity to see what emergency nurses were dealing with on the front lines of the pandemic. In this session, Jones will share excerpts and stories from her book The American Nurse, and her 3 documentary films, including the recently released In Case of Emergency, shedding light on some of the biggest healthcare challenges facing Americans today-from the opioid crisis to gun violence to behavioral health and lack of insurance-and the ways in which nurses are able to tackle them head-on.
