Why is there a full month of recognition for social workers, critical care workers, and physical therapists? Not that these jobs aren't important, but why do these workers get a month and nurses get only a week?

I always see displays at my hospital recognizing these other professions, but very little is done during Nurses Week. One year nurses on each shift were given cake. Thanks, but I'd rather have something that really says "thank you."
