Wound Care Practice, published by Best Publishing Company, Flagstaff, AZ, focuses on assessment and management of chronic wounds in a wound care practice. Paul J. Sheffield, PhD; Adrianne P. S. Smith, MD; and Caroline E. Fife, MD, are the authors of this 814-page book. Readers will be able to examine the principles of managing the wound and treating the underlying cause of pressure ulcers, vascular insufficiency ulcers, chronic venous insufficiency ulcers, diabetic/neuropathic foot ulcers, and other chronic wounds.

Diabetic Foot Conference Slated
DF Con 05, the Diabetic Foot Global Conference, will be held March 3-5, 2005, at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. Topics will include "Wound Healing: The State of the Art," "Diabetic Foot Infections: Challenges and Solutions," "Diabetic Foot Surgery: A New Subspecialty?" "Psyching out the Diabetic Foot," and "Modern Peripheral Arterial Intervention: Surgery or Angioplasty?"
An international faculty will take part in the conference, which will be chaired by George Andros, MD, and David G. Armstrong, DPM, MSc.
