ANIA endorsed and participated in the Secretarial Summit on Health Information Technology launching NHII '04: Cornerstones for Electronic Healthcare July 20-23, 2004, in Washington, DC. The summit was sponsored by the US Department of Health and Human Resources.

The 2005 12th Annual Conference will be held at the Las Vegas Hilton on April 28-29, 2005, in Las Vegas, NV. The conference title is Planning, Communication, and Interoperability: Tools for a Multi-Platform World. Watch the ANIA Web site for the "Call for Abstracts." The deadline for abstract submission is November 15, 2004.

Donna Gloe, President of ANIA is one of three newly appointed members to the ANCC Nursing Informatics Content Expert Panel. This appointment is for 4 years and provides expertise to ANCC in regards to the Nursing Informatics Certification Examination.
