Abstract
This report is an update of a multistate research project focused on nutrition and aging published in 2004. The project originated in the northeast of the United States, with approval by the US Department of Agriculture in 5-year cycles over the past 15 years. Following an approved plan, research scientists work to understand and improve the nutritional health of older adults. The multidisciplinary team conducts an annual review of their progress, adjusts goals and experiments based on their analysis, and seeks new approaches and interventions for the ongoing collaboration.
