Abstract
This article presents an overview of health care in the Sultanate of Oman, focusing on areas such as organization, financing, and staffing issues. It further relates the experiences of one graduate student during an administrative graduate internship in the Sultanate of Oman. The student interned at 4 hospital facilities, observing different departments (such as Nursing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Health Information Management) and shadowing facility administrators. Also presented are student recommendations that were developed for various areas of the facilities (health information management, ancillary services, patient care areas, etc.) based on the student's graduate coursework and observations during the internship.
