Abstract
Mask making is one of many alternative methods nurses can integrate into the care of chronically and terminally ill children. Healthcare systems abound with materials that may be used in this endeavor. This article explores how mask making offers children an opportunity to gain some control over their environment and thus heal themselves, even in the worst of circumstances.
