Prior to joining Hopkins, Dr. Fox served as the administrator of the federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). He was Alabama's state health officer from 1986 to 1992 and Mississipi's deputy state health officer from 1983 to 1986 and also has served as the President of the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO).
