Abstract
How many times have you swatted away pesky mosquitoes while enjoying the outdoors? Unless you're allergic to certain stings, you probably didn't worry too much about these winged creatures. But with the arrival of West Nile virus in the United States, closely monitoring any mosquito bite is a must. Because many symptoms of the viral infection can mimic other maladies, we'll tell you what to look for and give you pointers on how to protect yourself and others from contracting the virus.
